Our history
The A COUDELARIA Restaurant has been operating since August 1996, as part of the centenary Companhia das Lezírias estate founded in 1836, where there are twenty thousand hectares of land dedicated to agriculture, livestock and forestry. By the hand of Carlos Samora and his son, Chef Pedro Samora is today a place of worship for all those seeking the best of Ribatejo gastronomy.
It’s just over half an hour from the hustle and bustle of the capital LISBON, with the lezírias for company and the corresponding beauty, tranquillity and peace, that you’ll find our restaurant located next to the hippodrome.
It has a large room, where the view and the light enter through the glass walls and invite you to a quiet meal in a country setting, where the decoration is centered on the theme of the bull and the horse, typically from Ribatejo.
While you’re waiting, we suggest you visit our bar at the entrance, with its fireplace and comfortable seating for conversation and drinks.
